Most dryer sheets are polyester — meaning microplastic shedding every cycle and a plastic strip ending up in the lint trap (and downstream, in the ocean). Ours are made from biodegradable cellulose fibers, softened with plant-derived agents, and break down in industrial compost.

Are these compostable?
Yes — the cellulose fibers and plant-based softener break down in industrial compost. Backyard compost depends on your setup (temperature, moisture, microbial activity).

Will they leave residue on dark clothes?
No heavy residue — just soft fibers and the Ruby fragrance. Safe on black denim, navy linen, charcoal wool.

One sheet per load?
Yes for medium loads. Add a second sheet for heavy or large loads (king-size sheets, towel sets, oversized comforters).

How long does the scent last after the dryer?
Up to 48 hours of wear when paired with the Ruby Detergent Sheets and In-Wash Booster. The dryer sheet alone gives a softer, shorter scent — 12–24 hours.

Safe for towels and activewear?
Yes. Our plant-derived softener is gentler than the heavy synthetic softeners in traditional dryer sheets, which can coat fibers and reduce towel absorbency and activewear wicking.

Plastic-free packaging?
